Dr. Cindy Petersen
Dr. Petersen has been a leader in public education for over 35 years. Integral to her various roles have been her strong vision and dedication to creating educational opportunity for all students regardless of circumstance.
In her 20-year role as Superintendent/CEO of Gateway Community Charters (GCC), Petersen grew the organization from a single school to nine today, which serve over 5,000 children and employ 700 staff.
In her work with the GCC, as well as as an adjunct professor for Brandman University and the University of Massachusetts Global, Dr. Petersen has shown her commitment to seeing, investing and developing the potential in others.
